Ok I know, 3 posts in one day is a lot, but IÂ was pretty bored this weekend… 
.. anyways…Â ::roll eyes::
Jane and I busted out the wedding cake we saved for a full year as our one year anniversary just passed last Monday (3/17). At first, we thought about eating it. Then we thought about it some more, and came to the conclusion that having explosive diarrhea wasn’t a very romantic way to celebrate our anniversary. So we did the next best thing and gave the cake it’s goodbye photo shoot.

My parents just got their visa today in Shanghai, and they’ll be coming to US for our wedding. Haven’t seen them for 5+ years.. I’m so excited!

The past weekend was quite fruitful. Took the BIC (Butt In Chair) on Saturday; Updated some of the blogs in Chinese; Decided on the girls dresses which is a little harder than I had expected; Get all the card stocks ready for the invitations — took me quite a few hours to cut the paper, but it was kinda fun.-¯
We also finished our engagement photoshoot on Sunday. Though Jimmy’s still coughing, Sunday was pretty much the only choice if we want to have the picture for the wedding. Luckily-¯it was a beautiful day, warm and sunny.-¯We went to Union Square and a beach —¯which turned out to be a nude beach — why there’s never hot California girls but only old-¯weary dude?-¯
Jimmy was taking care of his cold, played FFXI, took the engagment photoshoot with me, prepared a nice dinner, had 5 bowls of porridge and 20+ dumplings, and being my moral support during my paper cutting project :-*. Now you know why-¯I’m calling him “xiaozhu” le…-¯-¯

I was looking for a nice wedding favor. After discussing with Jimmy, we concluded that-¯candles would be nice,-¯it needed to be-¯someing special, and it would-¯be also nice if the wedding favor can be used as a placecard holder as well.
One day while I was chatting with my parents online, I saw this picture with-¯a cute romatic little beach chair — it’s a candle holder that can be used as placehard holder as well — it’s perfect, just-¯as what I had in mind. Happily I sent the link to my parents. After explaining to them what a wedding favor is, and what I had in mind,-¯I asked: “what do you think?”
There’s this silence for at 5 seconds, then my mom said slowly, with an obvious hesitation in her voice-¯”.. it’s like a toilet..”
How can you not love your mom?-¯-¯-¯

Have been slacking for the whole week on our wedding preparation, but next week I will:
Visit the last photographer with Jimmy and book one-¯
Book a lighting vendor-¯
Book a florist
Call our engagement photographer, schedule the next outdoor photo shoot, and comfirm the price for the makeup artist
Confirm with the girls on their dress
Check with the rental companies for the chair/chair cover/sash rental
Book the cake vendor (??)
Start on invitations
Most importantly, make sure that the I get my gown right this time!!
